We have three ongoing projects that are ideally suited to Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) funding and we urge corporations to consider investing
in these projects on an ongoing basis. Individual donations are also most welcome.

the rawinala foundation
Rawinala, a major recipient of funds from our Club, is an educational and care facility
for Multi-Disabled Visually-Impaired children. Our next project is an ambitious one.
We are building a training centre to train teachers and carers from across Indonesia,
enabling them to educate and improve the well-being of multi-disabled,
visually impaired children in their local communities.
The goal is to provide access to help for as many MDVI children in Indonesia as possible.
Currently, there are only 5 MDVI schools in Indonesia, caring for 200
children - estimated less than 1% of all MDVI children.
Once this facility’s current building works are completed, the next challenges will be
supporting the operation and widening the coverage that this center will enable.
For this, the kids need your help and our Club will welcome and would love to recognise
your kind assistance.
Teacher Training Center Ground Breaking Ceremony
“As we celebrate the ground breaking for an inspiring and critically needed new
building, we are celebrating among friends who share our vision and aspiration
for the future of Rawinala and, more importantly, the future of teacher training
for this special education. Friends and donors who have stepped up to expand their
levels of support to make this dream come true.” –
Kadarmanto Hardjowasito, Rawinala Board of Advisors & Founder Member.
The Rawinala Foundation
In 2011, Rotary Club of Jakarta Cilandak financed washroom renovations,
making life easier for the children. In conjunction with Rotary Club of Ayr Queensland
(Australia), we funded the building of overhead canopy covers for the outdoor walkways,
making a significant contribution to ensuring children, teachers, carers and staff remain dry.
Currently, the Centre caters for 60 children who rely on the generosity of sponsors and
the time and dedication of educators and carers.
The Centre wants to increase capacity from 60 to more than 100 children and this will
requires project funds of around $30,000 over the next few years.
An inspection of the school is highly recommended for those considering
supporting this foundation.
